most liquid explosives are Nitric esthers
it's basically a reaction that happens when certain combustable materials are braught in contact with nitric acid. Most common example of such an explosive is nitroglycerin.
Whatever would happen if you drank this kind of stuff depends on the kind of explosive.
(M)ethyl nitrate(main ingredient alcohol or fuel) is so sensitive would probably blow up in your hands due to it's sensitivity.
nitroglycerin(main ingredient glycerin andcontrary to common belief not that sensitive)
actually has various medicinal uses in heart and hypertension pills so chances are some one in you family has allready ingested it.
the only other liquid nitric esther is nitroglycol(main ingredient ethylene glycol or antifreeze) is also very stable but since ethylene glycol is toxic I wouldn't reccomend drinking it!
chances are if you ingested either one of these three no explosion would take place as these explosives do not react to stomach acid it might release red gas though which is toxic!!!
BTW those terrorists were very thick if they had been smart enough to smuggle in nitroglycerin or nitroglycol as alcohol and not shampoo they could have gotten away with it!!!

They would not be a walking bomb if that's what you mean.
Hopefully they would die from the chemicals involved but at the very least they could not explode becuase there would need to be a detonator and you couldn't swallow that.

Ahh... Get him to hospital. Sure he wont explode but his digestion system & liver would be punctured because of the acid.
Sick no one can drink it, better drinking it he can jump from any tall building, that is less painful.

most of the answers above are correct, except in the case of nitroglycerine, in which case they would get a major bone crushing headache, and then die from severe drop in blood pressure.
