In answer to those below. I haven't seen a ghost myself, I sort of believe in the concept, but being a scientist, I cannot really take it on faith. I really want someone to tell me categorically, so I can trust them that this is a real phenomena.

when i was young i lived on a farm in yorkshire, the farmhouse was an 19th century droving inn and had a line of 15 stables beside it, i was in the kitchen aged about 9 or 10 when i saw a figure pass by the window which looked onto the stables,
it was rare to see anyone cos the track just lead to one of our fields, i rushed out the door and through the garden gate to see who it was, the grey figure of a man diapeared in front of my eyes into nothing,
i felt foolish but told my mum and she admitted both her and my gran hand seen the figure before but never told me for fear of scaring me,
hand on heart its true

Myself, no.
But I had an experience that was odd. I had invited some of my college friends out to our farm in the country. My grandfather had passed away about a year earlier. Our farm house didn't have any photo's of my grandfather and none of my friends had ever met him. Being that we had so many friends over, some of them had to sleep in front of the fireplace in the Den. In the middle of the night, my friend woke up and thought he saw me walking across the room towards the fire place. He called my name and moved his legs as the apparition moved over their sleeping bag. At that point he realized it wasn't me. He shook his girlfriend, but never took his eyes off of the "ghost". Very slowly the ghost disappeared from the legs first, up to the head at the last, just as it was turning to say something, but didn't have any sound.
The next morning he described what had happened and described what the ghost was wearing. He described all the same clothes that my grandfather wore, including the hat, which was what my grandfather was wearing when he died...at the farm.
We went into the nearby town where my grandfather actually lived to visit my grandfather, and when my friend finally saw a picture of my grandfather, he got very pale, almost as if he went into shock.
Something else that makes me wonder about afterlife energies is something called "kirlian photography". I've seen images where an image of a leaf is taken, then the leaf is cut in half, but the outline of the whole leaf still shows a faint residual, as if the leaf remembers it's life force "shape".
Perhaps we leave energy imprints on our environment, who knows.

You really shouldn't watch scary movies...stick to children's TV or you may have nightmares. GHOSTS DON'T EXIST...FACT. When you see any ghost activity on TV its either far away in a dark corner or just a noise happens (ask yourself.... Why should ghosts be scared of us and only want to appear in dark corners, or why do they make obscure noises instead of introducing themselves properly? ). An orb of light that could be dust particles etc. Check out Hampton Courts Ghost, still not real but looks good.

it happened when i was 6.i was sleeping then i suddenly i woke up n saw through the window.there was a white-ppl-shaped outside hanging on the tree.it was just like a ppl,but white from top to toe.i 'm not sure if it was a ghost cuz i was too smallt hen.but i heard that tree was haunted cuz there was a person burried there.i'm not sure it was a ghost but it was really amazing

Yes, She is a little girl that passed in my home some time ago and she visits us every once and awhile , At first we thought that were seeing things not there but then it started to happen again and again , not every day but every couple of months , Were fine with her and we welcomed her , and were christians

No but I have heard one.Our house dates back to the 16th century.My grandson has seen one in here.He said he(it was a he)was dark skinned and was wearing sack cloth.
He was not at all worried about it he just asked me who the man in the other room was.

long ago I saw the image of my dead grandfather, but I believe this was more a trick of my mind than a reality. but who knows?
