Yeppers. Hope that finger gesture is worth the $5000 MLB will set you back. I get that some fans can be beligerent and unruly. Especially if they had way too much to drink. There is no excuse for their behavior or anything vile they may say. Having said this, as a big time major league player you shouldn't let some idiot hook you like that. In the end they are paying customers. Albiet not so bright ones.

A couple of years ago another Major leaguer did something similar to that and he was fined about $5,000. That will probably be the same penalty towards Tejada.

No, but It seems to me that they get paid an awful lot to act like an ***! Can you picture a teacher flipping off a student. Can you say job loss and quick! He'll just get a suspension. Mean while innocent viewers have witnessed a new trick. Pathetic.

MLB will probably fine him between $5000-$10000 but that's about it... The precident was set with Jack McDowell (interestingly a Yankee who flipped off Yankee fans... see a trend here?)who was fined $5000. I doubt they will suspend him.
