Was this person Mexican?
It's an idea us Mexicans have. There are a lot of blond and white people in Mexico and they are assumed to be from Spanish ascendance. They are many movies and TV shows that show Mexicans history, and they always show the Spaniards as blond people. The Mexican media has given us this idea, most Mexicans think all Spaniards are white, and only a few who have actually travelled around know they are not.
You shouldn't get angry, I'm very white, I used to get angry when people used to tell me in the USA that they thought all Mexicans were brown. But thos people are just sheep who think whatever TV wants them to think. If in your case, I guess you'd be happier with the American media stereotype of Spaniards being people with olive skin.

People who are Spanish are from a Mediterranean region. Like people from Greece, and Italy. Lets see the sun is very hot there. Most people would have dark olive skin. Most Spanish people have dark hair and dark eyes. Where in the world did they get the idea that you are supposed to be blond? You aren't Swedish.

Most people could care less, with the world falling down around our ears and Muslims running amuck ... Islamic madmen and women looking to spill the blood of all infidels, blond hair and fair skins only mean those are first on their list to beheaded in the name of their loving, kind and merciful God..Allah...
Be thankful you're dark it may add a few more years to your life.

I guess it all depends on how you compare. I'm a Scandinavian, and a very blond one even according to Scandinavian standards, and to me the Spaniards look quite dark. But there are also dark Scandinavians. So, at the end it all depends of the person.

Hi! I think Spanish Women have a dark black with a red tint through their hair - and the Men have Black hair. Everytime I am in Spain - the Locals keep talking & acting towards me as if they think I am Spainish due to the colour of my hair.. I can live with that I Love Spain..

I have never seen a Spanish lady with blond hair - you are thinking of the Swedish /Scandanvians maybe?
I think Spain has its fair share of olive-skinned dark brown/black hair. I have been there many times and so far most match this description. Anyone who differs is a tourist.

Spaniards are white europeans, they are caucasian,
I am a spaniard and I am blonde myself., and some of my friends and classmates are blonde, so yes, there are blonde spaniards, because SPANIARDS ARE WHITE,,
Spaniards are like the french, italians, portuguese, greeks,,
Stop the confusion between spanirds and south americans !
we are not the same, just because we speak the same language (with very different accents and words )

Spanish is a language, dear. I think you mean Hispanic. There are all different skin/hair color/types in every race. My hubby is Puerto Rican and he has people in his family that range from fair skinned, blond hair and blue eyes to very dark skinned, black hair, and brown eyes. ((look like A-Typical Caucasians and African-Americans))
