Your Sun signs are actually inconjunct (150° aspect) by sign. I would need to determine if they were by degree as well using birth data.
Love Sign Compatibility Grid
http://www.cafeastrology.com/articles/signcompatiblitygrid.html
--------
You must look to the whole chart to see what type of people you are attracted to not just your own sun sign and the other person's sun sign.
What aspects do your Sun, Moon and Ascendant make?
The 1st house is you, your personality and appearance..
The 5th house rules love affairs.
The 7th house rules partnerships.
The 8th house rules sexuality.
What planets are in the above houses and what aspects do they make? What signs are those planets in? What sign is on the cusp of those houses? What elements (fire, earth, air & water) and qualities (cardinal, fixed & mutuable) are involved?
For a female's chart you can look to the Sun and Mars and their aspects for what types of males they are attracted to.
For a male's chart you and look to the Moon and Venus and their aspects for what types of females they are attracted to.

Any sign can be with any other sign. It all depends on your whole chart, based on your DATE, PLACE, EXACT TIME of birth, not just your Sun signs.
Your whole chart then is then compared to the other person's whole chart using a technique called Synastry.
The aspects between each other's planets and points must be looked at and interpreted. The planets in each others houses must be looked at and interpreted, both ways. Affinities must be looked for. It's not simple to a layperson, but it is to people who are educated in Astrology terminology.
Sun sign horoscopes are absolutely inaccurate to determine compatibility between two people.

I have been with many Aries and they just haven't worked out well. Different reasons. I guess it would depend on his whole chart to determine if you two were a "perfect" match. However, for me I just like looking at Aries they are so attractive. But anything more, I don't think I could deal. John: Maybe it's that Virgo rising wanting you to match well with a Virgo. I could see that. However, there still is Aries. What a chore to balance the two! Have fun!

Don't let the Leo boy's high-volume bravado fool you. Underneath, he's a softie who will totally fall for they way you anticipate his every need. As a reward for your loyalty, he'll give you confidence and support. His sun-centered ego can get a little large at times, but your Mercury-ruled insight tells you when and what to say when he needs to gain a more realistic perspective. The two of you will have to negotiate a lot when it comes to deciding what to do on dates. He is more extroverted than you are, so you'll have to tell him when too much noise and activity begins to get on your nerves. There will also be times when doing things his way turns out to be a blast - even when you thought it might not be. This relationship will teach you about empowerment, and keep him from growing out of his collection of hats.

no...it's quite a lousy match as virgos r perfectionists and like to control their partners while aries man really hates being bossed around as they prefer to be the bosses themselves..

Without playing games, don’t be available 100% of the time or let your life be an open book. A man that comes on too strong or doesn’t have outside interests will scare a woman away just as much as it would if the circumstances were reversed. Read here http://AttractAnyWoman.emuy.info/?saUr
Women don’t want to feel as though they are completely responsible for your happiness and that is what it feels like when the other person has no outside interests. Men who are overeager or jump when the woman says jump are the ones who are more likely to end up in the friend zone. This doesn’t mean that you should play the game of not calling for a few days; it means that you should set healthy boundaries until you both naturally find a spot for the other in your lives.
