I know girl, i just noticed and asked the same question..i logged in rite now wow yahoo answers is becomming better EXCEPT THE CHATTING AND PRIVATE CORRESPONDENCE I HATE IT WHEN THEY VIOLATE QUESTIONS and SUSPEND POEPLE 4 THAT REASON.
the change is good BUT u dont get NO points 4 RATING!!!!

I think it's great. Maybe since we can rate the question, Yahoo will see how much some people enjoy a question, go by this rating system, and see that those of us who like the question doesn't like any of the good people kicked off. Rating the answers as you go along is a little time consuming but I think it will help the askers to choose the best answer if there are several good ones that you can't decide on.
Even though, we don't get points for rating an open question, at least we still get points when we rate and vote on the questions.

I think its being severely abused. People are asking questions for the sake of asking and others are answering for the sake of earning points. Being able to rate answers and questions isn't going to change the fact that others will still continue to abuse this online portal. Its supposed to be a place where people can exchange and share meaningful knowledge, but no one seems to be doing that, except for a very small few.

I don't like that they stopped letting us give points for best answers before i started on *yours*.....but as for the rest, i guess i'll have to wait and see.
You can still expect good ratings for your questions.....just not the points.

although you don't get points for rating answers anymore, yahoo made rating easier and more accesible. with the rating sustem, it makes it easier to pick out best answers. hopefully, it will also discourage crappy answers. everybody now sees how well (or how bad) a user answers questions :)

You used to get a point for rating answers ... that seems to have disappeared, which bites, because I was getting about 40 points a day for doing that!

BAD! If you agree, please do what I did. Go to the Points and Levels section. On the bottom you will see Help Us Improve Yahoo Answers: Tell Us What You Think. Click on that and fillout your complaint. If enough people do this then maybe they will go back to the regular good ole way!

Even I was quite happy but they have made it so that you dont get points for rateing and have increase thetypes of voilations
