At least you have the honesty to declare that the tactics used were wrong and the government had no right to go to Iraq. As to your other suggestions, surely they are impractical in a world of global oneness. What would you do about the 'Europeans' in their countries?

My suggestion would be that we stop talking about multi-culturalism and separate religion from the State. People of course can practise their religions but only in their homes and places of gathering. We do not facilitate any form of religion in schools, work or play. That I believe would stop the Jihad that you speak off. Anyone who doesn't accept that can then be removed to a country where they can have religion running their lives.

First of all, you are right, there is a major threat by muslim extremists.

But what CONSERVATIVES don't realize is that you can't just solve your problems by dropping bombs. If "The Second Iraqi war" should have taught us anything it is that invasion and extreme meathods only inflame the situation and it gives ammunition to extremist propaganda. Think about it. What happened when we kicked saddam out by force? Thousands game in to replace him. And each one of those we kill fuels the fire for THEIR propaganda. They get to say, "See? Look at what they're doing to us." And that allows them to recruit more and more extremist buddies.

What conservatives need to realize is that we need to address the extremist problem not by war (which only breeds more terrorists), but by propaganda on our side. We need to win over the hearts and minds of the people in the middle east, and slowly moderate them over time through PR. Image is everything in the world. We can never win the Iraqi war if the people think we're evil.
