Hi, I am looking for a career change and would like to learn to operate a JCB. I have contacted the local careers office, but they can't help, they are useless. If anybody has information this would be greatly recieved.

I'd go along to your nearest JCB franchise, and ask.

They will at least know which of their customers may have an opening, and point you in the right direction. They should also be able to tell you what sort of License (if any) you need to operate them in industry.

I've never operated one of the small ones, but have used one of the big caterpillar tracked Volvos. Oh my lordy, you'll have a good time!

(Do you work near a container port? See if they have any vacancies for Port operatives. You get to drive everything, from container lorries to AMG mercedes.)

Try the Israeli Army, I believe they have openings now in Southern Lebanon for JCB drivers, on the job training.
