Bicep curls with dumbbells and similar exercises will help you with doing the chinups, but it's hard to work the muscles required for pullups. I've got similar body stats to you, and struggled to do them at first too. When I'm at the gym I get my friend to spot me, by gently pushing me up as I do them, which let's me do full sets of 10. I do these once or twice a week, and after 2 months I'm now able to do the 1st rep by myself, and then complete another two reps of 10 with a bit of help. Theres no trick, just keep trying every day.

Okay practice is good but to get the stamina you need try exercising while in the pool. You work every muscle in the body when you do pool exercises. Also a light jog and some sit-up will also help. Keep working on it and let no one discourage you. You are trying and that is a good thing

first off---do lat pull downs, half to 3/4 your weight three times a week, 3-5 sets of 8-10 reps, and you should be going all out during these wourkouts, come three weeks, you'll be doing five pull-ups no sweat, chin-ups should also be a breeze

Youve just got to keep plugging away at it, doing them every time you get a chance throughout the day. That's a lot of improvement for 21 days!!!

Add pushups to your workout
do max set of pullups, then do 10 pushups per 1 pullup
keep on repeating till you can't do anymore,
repeat the next day, make sure you get rest between sets

just keep doing it. i believe you should only work out your biceps every other day, but your triceps and abs you can do every day. so do some pushups when you're bored. when i was like that, i just did chin ups for like 5 weeks, then that gave me a pretty good base, so now i do pull ups. and it's not discouraging anymore...

Improving physical abilities takes time. You may not be able to do
what is expected of you in this time frame. Keep at it and you will slowly improve.

Well, chest muscles can work here but only as stabilizers or fixators (of the shoulder). If you really want to work out your chest, do bench or military presses, as these work against gravity, thus making it harder for your chest muscles WHICH makes them stronger ^__^
