My dad is an expert in anything to do with engineering and how things work and Harley Davidson motorbikes , my mum seems to know everything about ancient British history , my obsession at the moment is everything to do with psychology and society etc.

Just because someone has a web site... does not make them an expert so be careful! Have you ever heard of the phrase... "Jack of all trades, master of none"? That's someone that knows a little about a lot of things and a lot about nothing!
An expert is made not born so it requires years of experience on that particular subject. When you get into a site that has a bunch of people running it, you are more apt to find better answers from "them" than you would from any one person.
