a wee bit of trivia - the original coca cola glass bottles were redesigned to mimic the curves of marilyn monroe and sales went thru the roof. Oh and as u probably know, the slogan "the real thing" comes from the fact coca cola originally contained cocaine. That soon stopped during the war cos they couldnt have stoned employees in the armaments factories.

What is the best way make your product appeal to at least 50% of the population? Sex of course. Sex sells to men in general. If you want to sell a soda, put a hot, half dressed chick beside it. All these advertisement strategies are tried and true. The shape of the cola bottles appeal to men even if only on a subconscious level. Just watch a channel or a show where the main demographic that watches it is men, and see how much sex is in the advertising.
