If there where supposed attacks being planned and it has been stopped, great. On the other hand do these foiled attacks coincide with times when public opinion is against the government on major issues of foreign policy such as Iraq and Isreal. Then Tony Blair can do one of his the fight against terrorism must continue etc etc? Is it just a good way of getting us all back into line?

No, this is not a conspiracy theory like every dumbass liberal would like you to believe. Gosh I cant stand how everything is such a conspiracy theory to the dems, oh its Bush's fault, oh its Blairs fault, oh its america's fault for being so materialistic!! I can't stand it, look at the facts people...TERRORISTS ARE REAL, THEY ARE NOT SOME LAB EXPERIMENT CLONE CREATED BY THE BUSH ADMINISTATION. THEY WANT YOU DEAD AND WILL KILL THEMSELVES TO DO SO!!!!!!! WHAT DO YOU PEOPLE NEED, FOR SADAAM, OR OSAMA, OR ANY OTHER LUNATIC TO COME TO YOUR HOUSE AND TELL YOU FACE TO FACE THEY HATE YOU???? You liberal lunies are all the same, its all a conspiracy, its all some deep thought thru scheme for the republicans to get back favor with the majority. You people think everything is so complicated and thats why your thought process is so F'd up. Look at it from a simple rationalistic view, Muslim terrorists, dont like jews, dont like christians and dont like Europeans or Americans...THEY WANT YOU DEAD!!!!! NO IFS ANDS OR BUTS, WAKE THE F UP!!!!

No government would go to such lengths, disrupting travel, raising secuirty levels in both the UK and US if the threat wasn't serious.

The difficult thing in these situations is because they are intelligence lead with many spooks and other departemnst working in the back ground who must stay hidden to protect them and other future operations you never see the full picture of the what is happening.

See it's starting already, you stop something, you keep alot of people
from getting killed and the first thing someone does is call it a plot.
Al Qida said they were planning an attack (but of course we forget that !!!),and just because we were able to hopefuly stop it this is the response we get. All I can say is I wish the people who keep spouting this crap are the ones on the planes when they get blown out of the sky.

Good point.

I still remember all those armed troops and tanks at Heathrow, supposedly a real threat. Never heard about that one again.

At least this time there are some arrests.

I can understand your point, but I think these are genuine. One way of telling: Tony Blair is not in his office today...

You won't know until evidence is released to the public. Unfortunately by that time you won't care anymore.

As long as the media is ringing with "Terror" those who benefit from it are happy.
