in 1970 they made a lot of changes.but the real important one was mid year to the gremlin was disc brakes,,and i guess if we all had thought we would get the girl,,we all would have bought a car,,i know i would have,,i hope this help,s, i owned one of those cars in 1973,,and i didn't get the girl with it,,just the payment,s.

Just kidding....But I don't think AMC was saying that you can get girls like this. Many car companies would do this, and put people, or nice looking girls in/on the cars they were trying to sell. I think they were trying to get you to have a positive thought about the car and ad its self. That if you say a nice looking modest girl in the picture, you would like the girl, and while thinking about her, would in turn think highly of the car. Kind of a mind game they played. Just my opinion.
