Maurice Clarett is a very tragic story indeed. Here was a young man who could have had it all. Fame, fortune, and maybe a possible Hall of Fame NFL career. Thanks to his own arrogance and those who may have had his ear he will have none of that. Instead he is looking at potentially many years in the hole. Shame.

Now having said that, yes he is a troubled man with a capital "T". Not just psychologically, but legally as well. He is in it up to his neck in legal trouble now. Usually the law enforcement community usually don't like it when you a) do an illegal U-turn, b) Lead them on a high speed chase endagering innocent lives, c) resist arrest, and d) have 4 loaded weapons in your vehicle. The cops are usually funny about things like that.

This man now deserves everything potentially coming to him. It makes me angry when there are people in the media like Woody Paige who are advocating that he should be given intensive help instead of putting him in prison. Maybe this argument wouild have flown if Maurice Clarett was a 13 or 14 year old. He is a 22 year old man. He should be fully accountable for his actions like the rest of society is. He was carrying 4 loaded weapons!

We all should be thankful that the cops got him when they did. This had the potential of ended very, very badly for someone. Maybe an innocent bystander got ran over. A cop's family gets the badnews that daddy isn't coming home. He was in the vincinity of a woman who was testifying against him on previous charges. In short, the headlines could have read, "Maurice Clarett: Charged with Murder".

Help for this man is too late. His troubles should have been caught back when he was in Ohio State at the very least. Enjoy prison my man!

Not sure how troubled he is, maybe it is a mental issue as well. After all the people who talked to him lately said he was acting all paranoid the day before. Yeah he is troubled in the sense that he is in alot of trouble. On the other hand look at Justin Strelzyk just a little while back. He went kinda crazy got in a high speed chase and crashed into a gas tanker. He was thought to be an undiagnosed Bi-Polar talking to his friends and ex-wife I believe it was. Well maybe Clarett has some mental issue that kinda just came forward.

saddest story and most dissappointing story in sports history. And this is coming from a Buckeyes fan, who hardly ever was a fan of his. But still sad. What was he planning on doing with 4 loaded automatic weapons and a bullet proof vest? 2 blocks from the key witnesses house in his robbery trial?

Ever since he lost his battle with the NFL he has went down hill. He thought that one good season in college was going to propel him to stardom, and since it didnt he is probably depressed and feels like the world is out to get him. It all falls on him he could have kept up his conditioning but he didnt, he could have done a myriad of things but he didnt. His fault nobody else to blame. Lock him up for a few years, see how he feels.

is maurice clarrett a football player who cares about him, hes just another thug that deserves to be in prison. if the police hadn't caught him he proably would have shot somebody. I have no compassion for somebody who had everything given to him and he pissed it away.

Doesn't he have family? Does his mom, wife or anybody tell him what the hell are you doing, you were already in trouble, now this? We really have not heard from any one close to him trying to get him to straighten his life. As of his football career, is OVER!

This kid needs some serious help. He is on a downward spiral, and the deeper he goes the harder it will be for him to get out.
