That is not the way to do it - there's your problem. Mouse over to the item you want to delete. Right click on that item to open menu choices. Left-click on the menu item DELETE. A box will pop up saying "do you want to delete this?" Click yes and it tis gone. That is easy when you know this info.

Greetings! similar as above yet as well bypass to classes and startup and make confident that's not there. no matter if it truly is then delete it there also, in the different case it is going to easily keep loading. reliable success

If you are using Windows XP, then it will automatically prompt you to select your least used items and it will be removed to unused items folder.
If not you can create your own.

use the help type "delete icons" or type "hide icons"
