do you have a COUNTDOWN TIMER / ALARM program for PALM Tungsten E?
Do you have a program that converts PALM TUNGSTEN E to a CARD READER or FLASH DRIVE like CARD EXPORT?

Yes, there are a few Palm software that will let you use another button as the power button. Try the following search on PalmGear.com:

For the Power Button problem, try reseting the unit. There is a tiny hole on the back of the unit that says reset. Use a bent paperclip and tap the button inside of it. This may fix the power button problem. For the software, look on
