Only today - the BBC has released some information.

The Christmas Special - known as The Runaway Bride - involves...well, a bride...whose wedding is interrupted by an invasion of the Earth. Apparently those wretched little "killer santas" from last year are coming back for that. You'd think Mickey's line - "What kind of rubbish were they?" - would have meant an end to them, but there you go. They're back.

Season Three sees the introduction of new companion, medical student Martha Jones, played by Freema Agyeman. There's a story with William Shakespeare in, one with alien "plasmavores" - presumably some sort of vampire, a bunch of stormtroppers called the Judoon, and one set in 1930s New York. No news yet on any big "old" villains coming back, so finally there might be a season that stands on its own for creativity. Interestingly, John Barrowman, as Captain Jack, is returning in the season finale.

Meanwhile, he'll also be leading the cast of Torchwood, which is the highlight of BBC3's autumn line-up.

Fair play - Gareth was right: the Mirror says "insiders" told them the Ice Warriors are back. Pretty cool (no pun intended!). See the second link. (oh and thanks for the tip G!)

i could desire to be sure a historic episode without monsters, like "The Aztecs", "The Crusades", "Marco Polo", "The Highlanders" and so on. i think of the 10th medical expert ought to accomplish a little super scenes in this type of experience. additionally re-travelling some classic places and monsters could be cool. in certainty a sequence that hyperlinks to all of the classic components from the previous episodes yet additionally has new exciting plots and stipulations. The Yeti attack New long island, the Krynoid assaults Martha's highway, Ice Warriors attempt an alliance with Earth, the Axons interior the stone age... some thing i could rather desire to be sure could be Davros recreating a clean Dalek race. yet another super episode could be a Cyberwar with Telosian Cybermen VS Parallel Earth Cybermen. additionally a undeniable retired armed forces guy ought to make an visual attraction. "5 rounds speedy!" NEW thought: Harold Saxon is a cloned physique containing the ideas Of Morbius? it may clarify the "final Time Lord" and the "not on my own" subject concerns. regardless of if it may be slightly random however. in basic terms a theory.
