If the rooster in a flock dies or is removed, the hens continue to produce fertile eggs for up to four weeks, depending on bird species. This is because there are "sperm nest" areas located in the oviduct of hens that collect and store semen for later fertilization of eggs. This is a natural survival mechanism for the production of a series of fertile hatching eggs even after the male is not available.
The period of time that fertile eggs are produced without additional matings can extend to several weeks.

It's usually about 14 days, but can be up to a month. Although each egg takes about 4 days to form, the sperm from the rooster can live in the hen's egg tract for a longer time. This is why people who breed show chickens or otherwise want to breed a certain hen to a certain rooster will isolate her from other roosters for 3 weeks or more. Or they will put the pair together right away but not hatch any of the eggs for a month. This insures the pedigree of the chicks, i.e., that they are indeed from that rooster and not some other.

About 3 days but it depends how many soft eggs were there at the time. You will know, when she has laid all of the eggs that have been fertilised, she will go broody and stop laying and all the fertile eggs have been laid.
Clutches
Hens lay eggs in groups called clutches, e.g. a clutch length of 4 means she will lay an egg every day for 4 days. Then she will stop laying and rest for a day before she starts laying the next clutch.
Laying cycle
Each egg in a clutch is laid later than the one the previous day. The rising sun in the morning starts an egg leaving the ovary. If a hen takes 26 hours for an egg to be made and they start the first egg of a clutch at 5 a.m., the hen will lay the egg at 7 a.m. the next day. The hen may wait an hour before the next egg starts being made, 8 a.m. This egg will be laid the following day at 10 a.m. The next egg starts being made at 11 a.m. and will be laid the following day at 1 p.m. Then the hen will stop the clutch and have a day of rest, because hens do not lay eggs after 3 p.m. Most eggs are laid in the morning.
The end of lay or laying
When chickens have laid about 12 eggs, they will usually stop laying and go broody, sit on the eggs until they have hatched.

properly, i'm no longer quite useful in case you're announcing you prefer to get the fertilized eggs out from under your fowl to incubate them your self, or in case you're announcing you prefer to get some fertilized eggs for the fowl to take a seat down on. in case you're asking approximately desirous to get some eggs on your broody fowl to hatch, maximum eggs would be workable for some week and a 0.5 after being laid. So in case you prefer to reserve some or collect them from different hens for some days, it is going to artwork out superb. good success!
