Look into the background of these people and see what they have in common besides skin colour. Maybe there is something there that you will be more sympathetic about. First of all you should specify where you are talking about. From the start up I would assume America cos the crime rate in britian I would say is pretty spread out between the different races.
Street crimes tend to be committed by people who come from a poor socio-economic background.
Also statistics say whatever the statistician wants it to say. In this statistic of yours how many people did it poll? how large an area? What kinds of areas? over what time period? All these things can be manipulated to say what the statisticians want it to say
At the end of the day people are people and it doesn't matter what the colour of their skin is. It is more of a matter of where and how they have grown up.

Statistics don't prove this at all. Its a well known debate that black youths are arrested more than whites on the streets in some areas but there is a very good argument that this is because police will use stop and search more on a black person than on a white and so more will obviously be arrested. Actually more white youth is arrested than Asian....(I'm white by the way).

Statistics are faulty as a majority of crime is still unreported. If its unreported statistics are then flawed!

Being black I know lots of black people, but I have more family and friends that are white, that are just as likley to commit a crime.

Maybe peopel dont report it as much if it is committed by a white person, just something to think about!

There is a stigma among some folks that black people are muggers, rapists, sell drugs etc and I get so angry when people say this especially in 21st century!!! I would like to point out not all black people are bad. I know a few black people who are decent hard working people. Why are you not talking about the other the races such as white, Chinese, Asian people.

you cant blame povery as there are lots of people both black and white who are in poverty but dont commit street crime.
