Why can't we send back the families of these terrorists who terroise us to their country of origin as a punishment when the terorists are caught and convicted of their crimes. If the terrorists realise that their families will be sent back to their own countries they might think again before terrorising us If they cant be patriotic to the country that has fed and educated them, given them all types of benefits that they won't and don't get in their own countries. then why should they live here? I lived in a developing country for a few years and I wasn't given any preferential treatment nor any benefits whatsoever so why can't all these benefits be on a reciprocal basis?

I am talking about the home grown terrorists...not terrorists from different countries. People who are living in the UK and being educated here, been given all sorts of benefits and then turn round and stab us in the back. Fair enough that you are saying innocent members of the famiuly shold not be punished...I agree toa certain point BUT they would certainly think twice before terorising if they knew their families woulde suffer hardships by being returned to their own ancestral countries.

An intelligent question. I do believe that terrorists that are in this country just to blow it up is disgraceful. It is a bit like biting the finger that fed you. I mean if you come to this country in the first place you are expected to live by its rules. I mean if you were to come from a country where it is customary to hunt deer in the bush, you don't come here and do the same thing.

Genius, if you'd done a shred of research before opening up your trap, you'd know that in this country, if there is any evidence of you being connected to a terrorist organization, whether you're family or not, you get sent packing.

Now on the off chance that somehow the government determines you had nothing to do with your dipshit brother's wacky antics, why should YOU get sent back? This is America. We don't get punished for another man's crimes.

That's why we rock. And roll.

Gathering up people because they belong to particular race would be racist. Just like when they gathered up the Japanese (WWII) and the Arabs (after 9/11) in "concentration camps." Many were sent away and others were just terrorized. I don't agree with their behavior actions or anything. And I have asked this same question it seemed to me that if you aren't American that America could send them off our soil until the chaos was blown over and then people could come back. But for some reason that is against the law.

The question isn't racist unless you had a certain race in mind when you asked it. HOWEVER, i think it would certainly not be fair to disrupt the lives of people who are not involved in the commitment of a criminal act. Just like it's isnt fair for a terroist to disrupt the lives of innocent people.

Such thinking creates a cycle of hatred and fear for everyone and someone has to step up and put a stop to it- if not "them", then us, and shipping innocent women, children and family would not be right.

Ah, yes the old 'collective responsibility' rule.
Or maybe just the 'make them fear us' notion.

Like Israel we can level the village, if a terrorist has lived there.
Or like Saddam, use chemical weapons on a whole race of people if one of them tries to assassinate him.

I mean you can tell it works can't you, Hezbollah have surrendered and the Kurds no longer exist.

Now that this is the policy being used by 'them' against 'us', with indiscriminate bombing of civilians. We are doomed, we might as well just give up.

You have a point and I could agree with it. However, there are many close relatives of Osama bin Laden who are 'pillars of society' whatever that means.

I don't think it ever helps to hit innocent people, who just happen to related to a terrorist. Just imagine the fun the Brits would have had during the IRA terror in Norn Iron. However it would be fair to look into the circumstances of anyone close to a proven terrosist just to check that they were pukka.

I don't think it is racist! I think it is a fair point. The shame is that there are alot of imigrants that want to be British and proud to be.

To be honest, though, I'm not sure if these terrorist really care about their families. They are willing to sacrifice all in their quest, including innocent children and, indeed, themselves.

Saddam Hussien executed families of those who went against him. Not that I condone all that but people still went against him. Spending families should happen but I believe I wouldn't be enough.

Why punish families for what 1 or 2 members have done.
Besides it wouldn't be punishment to send someone back to
their homeland. It would be like us committing a crime in another
country and they send us back to the United States.

i have to say i agree with you 110%, even in the Uk they give them way better treatment than they would get in there home country so they come to the Uk/U.S. and they get into the community and no one want them their because we are all afraid becuase they seclude thmeselves from everyone else so it makes people wonder what they are really doing, i know some just threw school and you cant get into there family at all you cant go over to the house, no phone numbers, nothing! and they dont try to fit in either they stand out more than anyone, other culutres have come to the U.S. and they work at trying to fit in but whatever they are just do there own thing and get mad at us for us saying we dont like them! well if they dont like it they can leave! i also say that we shouldnt be giving anyone preferential treatment, when we started to live in america we had nothing and my long family had to work really hard to get what they have now, but terrosist family's walk right in and they get money from the government, and they think we need to bow down and kiss there feet! like they are way better than us! and before we go off and trin them, give them and education, they all need to get background checks everything so that they wont go back to there country with the education they have gotten and help there home country and become terrorist leaders! if they come here they cant leave! and it may be racial profiling but no other culture has doen what these people have done, so i would seclude them out and treat them different than anyone else, not all of them may be terrorist family members but after being here for more than 10 years, and being heavily commited to the community then maybe i would allow them rights, but i would heavily watch them! i agree with your opinion 1000000000000% if they dont like how we treat them get out! and we treat them way to good!

You know you might be on to something. However others will argue that you cannot control anyone inculding your own family member. I think you are right though. With religion being a factor in all this its very complex. I really don't know that there is an answer.
