is the threat of terrorist attack ever going to end or have we started something that we just cant finish?

Well we have been living with terrorism for years in the form of the IRA. All that as changed is the source of the anger, the reason and the methods employed. Unfortunately there will alays be hatred somewhere!

I think that it is important to note, that we, whoever that is, haven't started anything. The problem with putting it the way you have, is that it appears to justify terrorism. Terrorism did not start with Afghanistan,Iraq or Israel and Lebanon. Think of the 'Twin Towers' and many other earlier atrocities. Terrorism is a particularly cowardly method of combat; dressing like civilians and fighting from within civilian positions is calculated to try and win the propaganda war with the gullible west, aided and abetted by the left/liberal TV media.

I think that the original war aims were correct, ie. "A war against terrorists and those countries that harbour and support terrorists".
The only problem I have, is that, I never quite understood how Iraq fitted into that objective. However, you can't simply do nothing out of fear that you might create more terrorists. If you adopt that attitude how can you ever hope to win? The enemy simply gets stronger each day incrementally and by stealth. In the short/medium term doing nothing may appear to be the safest option, but long term you simply have a bigger problem to solve. They tried appeasing Hitler.

Unfortunately this will go on 4 ages we can't help the fact that there are those who have been brought up to believe that matyrdom is the end solution. what we need to understand is that these people have either been brainwashed since they were little into believing in the cause or they have found a purpose for their insignificant little lives. World peace can never become a reality because in the end they belive that the western world has done nothing but opress them. Furthermore the western world has slowed them down in catching up technologically and in my opinion rightly so. Can you imagine allowing this race of fanatics actually having the technology and resources to create an atomic weapon??????????????? (I'm sure Jack Bauer (24) would be hot on their heels) But seriously what would be the end result? If you don't follow allah their way they'll send over a nuclear missile? These people don't reason It's their way or no way no compromise

First of all, we didn't start it. Think back to 1993's bombing of the WTC, or further back to 1972 when Israel's athletes were murdered at the olympic games. The only way to end this conflict is to end Islamic extremism.
The fundamental principles of Islam promote good will and peace, but the extemist population "reads between the lines" and determines that all non-muslims worldwide or at least those who don't share their beliefs should be eliminated. And if they carry out these tasks, they will go to heaven. It's hard to compete with that.
To end the current conflicts around the globe, Terrorists need to have their funding cut from the top down. Nations like Iran and Syria who openly provide funding to terrorist organizations such as Hizbullah, HAMAS, and Al-Queda need to be stopped. The safety of the free world depends on it.

Do you remember the first Terminator movie? Kyle Reese is describing the terminator to Sarah Conner. It often reminds me of the proper description of terrorists.

We never started it. However, we perpetuate it by giving it attention. Media etc. It is like a child seeking attention in negative ways, it is really the same thing! And the media eats it up and up!
People talk about it incessantly as if there is nothing better to talk about. For me I saw it, glad they caught it in time, and I am moving on.

i think its never gonna end they are gonna keep trying until they get what they want which is wrong they shouldnt of been let in the country in the first place now the people who have done this will probably be kept in this country in jail and demand everything from a posh prison to sky tv and we have to pay for it all its just not fair

well they have the upper hand they mix amongst them selves making them difficult to spot,and the worst part about it their fellow country men know who they are but fail to pick them out! they wonder why us non terrorists get annoyed with their so called Innocent family and friends!!!!!
