Obviously he is portraid as evil and quotes are taken out of context. How much of a threat do you think he is in power to the US government and their allies? I think he's crazy, I said this before he was elected and remain to think his intentions are to dominate the region.

"The establishment of the Zionist regime was a move by the world oppressor against the Islamic world,"

"The skirmishes in the occupied land are part of a war of destiny. The outcome of hundreds of years of war will be defined in Palestinian land,"

"As the Imam said, Israel must be wiped off the map,"

"The Islamic umma (community) will not allow its historic enemy to live in its heartland,"

"Any leaders in the Islamic umma who recognise Israel face the wrath of their own people."

Are these the kind of harmless "quotes taken out of context" your refer to? There is a saying that has been around for a long time which says "Better to be thought a fool than to opens ones mouth and remove all doubt".

For crying out loud, if you don't know anything about this man or the policies of Iran, then don't paint yourself the fool with pollyanish drivel about how it's somehow connected with George Bush.

This person has publicly stated on numerous occasions his intentions against Israel as he defies the world and the UN by continuing to build nuclear weapons. If that doesn't make a red light go off in ones brain----then perhaps you should have your head examined.

Honestly it is difficult to form an unbiased opinion of the leader of Iran. Being a young child during the Iran Hostage Crisis, I learned that Iranians were evil and terroristic people. Its hard to break away from that mindset.

I read the letter that he sent Pres. Bush and honestly he did make some good points. However, some of it seemed like reading a letter from an insane mass murderer. This could have been because of translation, I'm not sure. But nonetheless I do think that his country should have the right to nuclear energy but one has to wonder how far he will take his nuclear "capabilities". Its a bit of a Catch-22 actually. I'll probably be able to make a better decision when the final report comes out about how much Iran has supported Hezbollah.

I do not see him as a threat plain and simple. He is portrayed as evil because it is convenient for this president.

He's portrayed as evil probably because he's Muslim and to many, especially the Americans, "Muslim" is almost synonymous with "evil". Crazy, but that's how it is.
