For over six months I have experienced very unusual things. As soon as I relax, if I keep my eyes open, I just seem to really zoom into whatever I place my eyes on. Two months ago I decided to simply let go and see what this kind of experience would lead to. Well it was not really dramtaic. It felt like being really close to the chair or laptop or whatever I was looking at. It felt like just a few minutes when in fact 30 to 40 minutes had gone by. Well... ever since that "let go" experience my life has been really screwed up. sub counciously I seem not to care too much about time. I have this wierd sensation of "eternity"...yes I know I know it sounds really stupid and nonsense and crap and all you want to call it, but it is really generating a fair amount of psychological distress.

P. S I am a wealthy guy who was really normal until this stuff started. I used to focus on work, money, cars etc etc and now it is all a total mess. also I am NOT religious at all....

I'm no doctor, but I do know that some imbalances in the body can have symptoms such as yours. You really need to have a complete physical and then follow the doctor's advice.

You do need help, and I mean that in the MOST constructive way.. it's not sarcasm, it's concern.

It would not be appropriate to 'guess' but from the given description, there seems to be no cause of worry.
When the mind is relaxed, and yet the being is very alert, then the level of perception deepens, and the experience is beyond sense organs. When it happens by itself, it is bound to scare a little, because mind is capable of understanding only the inputs received through sense organs !
The relativity of ' time ' awareness also seems to support this inference. Something that has no physiological adverse effects need not cause any worry. What happens by itself is taken care of well by Nature !
When the inner call gains strength, the material aspect of life does not have much hold on our focus, and it can't be helped. And, religion has nothing to do with this, beyond helping a person actually seeking it !

I think you are having out of body experiences. Maybe you should look up OBE on the internet and see if anyone has had these type of experiences. We are really just consciousness in a body and sometimes our consciousness (soul ) leaves and our souls are not bound by earthtime which is why you may be feeling more eternal. We supposedly do this while we are asleep, travel around and to spirit realms that is. Also check out some books by Sylvia Brown. She talks about Astral Travel. It may be similar to what your are experiencing. Good luck!

I'd be scared too if i were you. The first thing i'd do is go see a specialist. After all, what you're experiencing may not be as unique as it sounds. It could be that many people are suffering from the same. So do not panic. Seek help. But then again, you may want to make the most of the experience. You may want to also close your eyes every time you want to relax instead of keeping them open and zooming into whatever item you're staring at.

Fear is out of place here. I would say that you are having the kinds of experiences that people who meditate desire to have, and sometimes wait many years for. Your conciousness is opening up, which is a very positive thing. You can control it my focusing on a candle flame, by listening to relaxing environmental music, by breathing exercises, and so on. There is a lot of literature on the topic.
Of course, you could turn away from it all by becoming an alcoholic or taking Thorazine. The choice is yours.

i does no longer say that devil made me convert, lol. i've got not got faith in god, subsequently i've got not got faith in devil the two. i did no longer somewhat 'convert' to something. I basically got here to a decision that the belief of a god, such because of the fact the single contained in the monotheistic religions, isn't working for me. If there's a god, i do no longer think of he could deliver human beings to 'Hell'. this is the stupidest concept to me. that for the time of itself would have been sufficient for my strategies to resign believing in him. there are a number of greater different motives to record right here. life now could be not greater proper, yet no longer worse. a minimum of I have not have been given any guilt over each and every thing, and no worry of a few advise god who places human beings in hell. faith is there for people who decide on instruction. i be conscious of the thank you to be ethical without an invisible guy threatening me to realize this with fire. extra: do no longer attempt and say i don't be conscious of the religion. i replaced into raised with sunday college, and have my short suras memorized. I did study the finished Quran in English (that's fantastic and that i are conscious of it), and studied different religions besides. it is not something against Islam. it somewhat is against the belief of god customarily i do no longer believe.

I knew a fella who experienced the exact same thing!

He had to have his legs cut off. And he went blind. And deaf. And his teeth fell out. Died in the end. Terrible, really.

But whatever happens don't panic! I'm sure you'll be okay...

Time is subjective.
From person to person, place to place, and time to time.
If this is of no help, try the same question under "psychology"
