I recently bought the red,white, and black Jordan XIV from ebay but, when I looked under the shoe where the the logo is suppose the area around it was plastic instead of leather (like shown on jump23.com) I have pictures to show what I'm talking about becuase I kno its difficult to understand what I'm saying.

There's no one way to tell, but if you are questioning it, they probably are. The word they like to use nowadays when selling retro Jordans are authentic replicas, which really mean they have permission to make them. But they are not original. Original retro Jordans run in the $300-$800 range.

well, if the logo isnt the same material as the official website, they they're fake. sorry kid
