I don't like it.
Now you are also allowed to rate a question, a feature that in some cases (especially on this forum) may be abused. I thought it was all about the answers, not so much the questions. I think the previous features were better. You could only rate the best answer, while now you can rate all answers even before they are chosen as best, and that's not fair because it may influence the asker's final choice. Not that I care if my answers are chosen as best or not, but I think I'm a pretty good answerer, and now all the answers I give in this category will only get thumbs down (some already do!) just because most people don't agree with my opinions. WTF.
Plus, I don't see why people who are at Level 1 can't rate answers now, and displaying the level users have reached under their avatars is totally pointless. They even have level 7 now, but hey, I use Answers just because I have fun, I couldn't care less about their levels. I like answering questions and also asking them sometimes, but I can't do that 24/7 just to reach 25,000 points!

I like that we can rate the question, but as for the rest of the changes, a big thumbs down. You no longer get your points for rating best answer and if you rate an answer with the thumbs down, the result is there on your profile. People will be offended and retaliate etc. I think it will encourage far more negativity. And whats with displaying peoples levels. That has nothing to do with the quality of your answer. I would prefer the old way to the new changes, but that's only my opinion. I am sure that there will be those who like it. Personally I feel it will just cause more division between users and friends.

I think I like it. If someone said it better than I can, I just click the thumbs up and move on. And if I am offended by an answer, I can give it a thumbs down and it gets tiny and insignificant on my screen. I like that too!

The thumbs up and down is something that has been needed for a while, you can finally do something about the crap answers that people give that technically can't be reported.

they are now display the level of every yahoo user, so annoying!! and you cannot rate the best answers already, no points given!! what a waste!! thumbs down!!

I had a completely unoffensive answer removed. I think it will turn out to be a highly abused part of the Answers service. Be vigilant and write e-mail to the Yamsters if you feel like you have been unfairly singled out.
