Interesting.

When something really, really bad happens, one potential response is to be surprised, and / or shocked, and then to take in the news, and find a way to resolve the bad feeling. That process takes anywhere from minutes to months, depending on how bad the incident was, and how "close" the danger was.

Another response is to go into "Fairy Tale" mode, and to say that this didn't happen at all, or that it shouldn't have happened, and therefore maybe it didn't. That's a protective response, but it's dangerous if one continues not believing. What makes it dangerous is: people who hate other people use that protective response to carry their message of hate.

There are people out there who now say that 9-11 didn't happen at all, and that all of the "evidence" was faked. Tell that to widows and orphans of 3000 - plus people who lost loved ones in the World Trade Center and on four planes. But the story persists, and it comes from people who support the murderers who pulled off the 9-11 plot.

There are people who say that the Holocaust didn't happen and that even all of the pictures of bodies stacked up in death camps were faked. The story comes from people who still hate the victims, even after they were murdered.

So go to the news channels. Pick a conservative one, and a liberal one, and see what facts they agree on. I am betting that they will agree that there WAS a plot to blow up several international flights, with liquid or gel explosives.

And if that makes you afraid, so be it. Do something about the fear, like learning what people here and abroad are doing to protect you. Or becoming one of the protectors. Or dealing with the fear, and helping other people who are in Fairy Tale Mode.

Who Know's what is going on right now, but one thing is for sure the Police must have got there intel from somewhere in order to do the raids last night, and to close all airports around the U.K must be concerned for public safety, as we all know what happened on the tragic day of September 11th 2001 I shall never forget that day as long as I live, we need to tighten up on imiigration rules now, stop all the illegal imigrants flocking in, and concentrate on us British for once in there life, we have the wrong government in power might as well get a chimpanze to run as prime minister

It's real. 21 already arrested in the greater London area. They were concocting a liquid explosive cocktail that could be carried on to an aircraft in what would appear to be a water bottle. This would be enough explosive to rip open a jet and bring it down and supposedly they were targeting upward of nine different flights bound for the US from London and all on US air carriers IE: United, Continental, etc. Supposedly all 21 arrested are legal UK citizens of Pakistani dissent.

Well, considering that our airports are all on freakin code red, ad they're not sure they've aarrested all the terrorists in London. and there's eight Egyptain students missing in the US(come on, how are they not involved in some way. The one they caught said he got lost and ended up in New Jersey, and the autorities and media buy it!) I'd say this is very serious, isn't it?

Oh no, I believe this is for real. It's kinda wierd though that this is happening and just the other day homeland security relized that 11 egyptian " students" came to this country and not one showed up at their college. Connected?

My wife works at Thames Valley Police HQ, where her office has been converted to Gold Command (happens when there are major incidents).
