Not necessarily. Yahoo Answers is a good way to get in touch with people from all different walks of life, and to learn stuff from each other by using personal experiences. A good way to communicate, and hopefully be able to help out another human being who just needs someone to understand them.

i really don`t know much about points or levels..but i have decided to help those who are really in need.It gives me a satisfaction.I am loving it actually.i think i love problem solving and that capability of mine is increasing i suppose.Apart from that i can share my problems and get morally boosted.I can get at least some information about a thing which i wanna know.So i don`t think its a waste of time.I find it interesting.

I agree but tht is what its for to me .To waste time. Its just something to do to pass the time away. They could make it more interesting by having a real online prize store that we could spend these points.

Not quite, you do pick up a lot of useful information and sometimes when you do your own search on answering question, you wind up discovering new things.

Starts to look like it, yeah. I don't like this new system. It looks like you are getting stimulated to disrespect others opinions. To me, that sucks.

yea totally...but we all do tons of stuff thats a waste of time....like watch tv,read story books that are actually quite useless..
but its all for pure entertainment...and we all enjoy doing it.....so hey just do it
