Do you comprehend that it gives you similar questions that you can click on and get your answer?
"Who will make the chase?" (We can only guess on standings anyways, noone knows yet anyways)
"Who's your favorite driver?" (Obviously the person asking the question is only going to pick the person who mentions their driver)
"Is _ _ gay?" (Like it really matters or anyone on here really knows the answer)
"Who is going to win this weekend?" (One person asking gets the job done, you get answers, besides noone truely knows the answer)
"Who is the hottest driver?" (Again like it matters and obviously the person asking the question is only going to pick the person who mentions their driver)
Sorry, but it is getting old!!! Liven thing up a bit and think up some different questions! Why waste your useless points (lol)...that's the solution...Yahoo! needs to make the points mean something, then people with think twice about wasting their points!!! What do you think?

Don't get me wrong, I love Nascar and I usually answer the same questions over and over...but I don't ask the same questions over and over, check out the Nascar questions I have asked, especially lately...I have been trying to get others to follow! Like someone said, it is hard to come up with them though, especially if really have a question you don't know an answer to!

Many of the people who ask and answer questions seem to be NASCAR Bunnies who are infatuated with drivers, then get their knickers in a knot when a derogatory remark is posted and pontificate ad nauseum about how they live in two-story houses, are second year college students in the northeastern part of the U.S., don't like biscuits and gravy and have never tossed an empty Budweiser can over the fence at Bristol, Talladega or Atlanta.
On the rare occasion when a technical question is asked, the response is pitiful.
I rest my case.

I agree with you! It's getting really boring answering questions about NASCAR on this site. It's weird, though, because now that I think about it, I don't have any new questions in mind. I do have a few ideas about why people ask the same thing, though:
1. "Who's a hot driver?" is a common question on here, as you've mentioned. I think people ask that because they want to be reminded that other people feel the same way they do about a driver. People want to be sure that other people like a certain driver for the same reasons they do (because a driver is hot, etc).
2. One thing I've noticed is that people never ask really complicated questions about the mechanics of the NASCAR stock cars. After you talk all about drivers and tracks (which people are always talking about on here anyway) the only thing left to discuss is the true mechanism of the cars...which I think a lot of people don't fully understand! I don't, sadly. I think that there would be a lot of "new" questions if we started talking about things like the car's engines and other parts
3. One more thing about the same old questions is...well, you get REALLY good at answering them! It may sound stupid, but answering similar questions increases your ability to getting a best answer to some extent. If you know what you are talking about (and agree with the asker) you might get a best answer. Like for instance, let's say you are a huge Dale Jr. fan. If somebody asks "Why do you like Dale Jr.?", you are probably going to answer the question because you are a fan who knows a lot about Dale Jr. And you know that your knowledge about him will increase your chance of a best answer! It sounds a little corny, but I think people literally do that sometimes.
4. We, as motor sport answerers, want to show our love for the sport we love (NASCAR!) and don't mind answering the same old questions. Even though it gets boring at times, we answer anyway because of our love of motor sports and speed!
NASCAR forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree. I like to see interesting questions and responses which show some thought and justification. I suppose we get new people on all the time and they don't know that a certain question has been posted dozens ( at least!) of times.

Maybe the people that keep asking the same questions over and over are hypnotized by watching the cars going round and round and round the track, so eventually their logic is circular. Just a thought!
I would recommend they check out a local dirt tack and watch the late models. The late models are great for people like me that also watch short-attention-span theater and you get dirty.
A fun place to start is www.atomicmotorspeedway.com
Good question!

Why not you lead by example and start asking original questions in the motorsport forum... don't get me wrong I agree with you!! I like to ask questions in regards to current events in motorsport mainly f1 & motogp... they generate some really quality responses!!

Maybe you can be the one to break the mold and start asking more interesting questions. However, the others are just basically for conservation.
