History is written by the winners. And you have to also note that Hitler and the Nazis kept very good records of what they did. Stalin on the other hand did not. Anyone that he felt threatened him was destroyed and in many cases photos, records, newspapers etc. were also destroyed. There were not many left to tell the stories.

With the fall of the USSR in 1992, more and more of what when on during the Communist Era is coming to light, and it might take years to be fully understood.

Because obviously you haven't read the right books. Several histories go into great details. Cornelius Ryan of Longest Day Fame also wrote a great book on 'The Fall of Berlin.' The chief difference between Germans and Russians was that The Germans mostly confined their rapes to teen age boys and women from their teens into their forties. Russians raped everything. Men women goats chickens if it had a hole the Russians plugged it. One of the most unusual tales concerning the fall of Berlin is about a Dyke. An unapologetic hard core dyke. The type with a face like a mule's A - hole. Ugly square lumpy body - - - she was also a Communist. When Berlin fell thousands of its citizen's tried to make nice with the Red Army by waving red towels or anything Red. This Dyke had a REAL Communist Flag. A HUGE flag - - - she flew the flag proudly welcoming the Russians into Berlin. She greeted the Red Army with Patriotic Communist Songs. The Russians knocked her down, broke her nose and raped her. A good account of Rape can be found in Gunther Grass's 'Tin Drum' and in 'Dog Years.'

The battle of Stalingrad occured in the years 1942 through 1944 where the Germans had been besieging the Russian city. Eventually the Russians had lured the Germans inside the city here there was house to house battles until the Germans were trapped and the Russians had decimated the 6th army before heading to Poland and the rest of Eastern Europe and eventually Germany. The Battle of the Bulge began in the Ardennes Forest and was the first real German offensive in the west since Frederick the Great . It began in mid December 1944 and ended in late January 1945. In the early going , the Germans had the upperhand because the Allies were caught napping and a wise camouflage plan by the Nazis. The Nazis did not have much time and needed fuel supplies in a hurry and ried to cut off the British and the American forces and eventually reached the Belgian coast. The Germans, however, were caught by the Allies and the last real German offensive in WW2 came to an end.

Hitler once wrote "History is the propoganda of winning side"

But this is a very valid question, its there in the history,it has been covered up well, one of the reasons can be the support of jews towards communism, and jews my friend control the media ..
If you have not read "protocols of the learned elders of zion"
There is a hint..there was an "Autonomous jewish province"In USSR..You can google "Autonomous jewish region",it was at the place where amur river passes just before the russian border..and that autonomous territory still exists today...

Unfortunately, you have to read more history books that deal with authentic facts. There were atrocities on both sides of the conflict. Not only the Germans and Soviets, but the Japanese, Italians, French and to a lesser degree the U.S. and British too. However it is like Andrew Jackson said: To the victor goes the spoils.

Probably much information about it was covered up to prevent breaking the alliance that brought down Nazi Germany. If many allies had been aware of it, they would have encouraged not only breaking the alliance, but also possibly military action against Russia, which many allies were already advocating.

Because it never happened? I'm a history student, pardon me if I'm wrong, I've yet to read something like that. Perhaps you should quote from at least a single source for us to verify?

In fact you do if you read anything about the period. I don't think it's a secret and I have been aware of it for many years.

Don't judge the rest of the world by your own ignorance.
