I hope to live in Argentina some day. I have been down there twice in the past 3 years. I stayed downtown a la esquina de Calle LaValle y Esmerelda and ate many great steaks. The first time I went I flew to Ushuaia for two days and enjoyed my stay. It was freezing cold there in June which was very neat to experience. I occasionally look at some of the real estate sites such as this http://homes.com.ar/index.php to look over a few properties there. The next time I go, I will be going to a Tango Show. It was very cool to see the Tango dancers on Florida and other pedestrian areas.

Argentina: the land of the Gaucho, the Tango and the Andes. The second largest country in the continent, Argentina is a fascinating triangular shaped country offering a wide variety of attractions, from the world's largest casino in Mar del Plata to Peninsula Valdez with its incredible penguin rookeries.

Beyond its sophisticated capital city of Buenos Aires, Argentina will astonish the visitor with fine wines, the giant Iguazu Falls plunging 60 metres on the border with Brazil, the Aconcagua (the highest peak in the Americas at 6960 metres), the pampas (the world's richest grasslands), and Bariloche (one of the most popular international ski resorts).

In the far south you have Lago Argentina, one of the most photogenic mountain, glacier and lake areas in the world, where the awe inspiring Perito Moreno Glacier is the only one in the world still growing. At the bottom is Tierra del Fuego and the most southern city in the world, Ushuaia, overlooking the Beagle Channel and stepping-off point to the frozen continent of Antarctica. Argentina is simply amazing!

Hi, I can easily cut-paste info from the internet but I prefer to tell you what I know, though very limited. Long ago back in college I have a friend from there and she said her country hardly had rocks or stones. According to her the land was very fertile and the scenery was beautiful. I always think of the song "Don't cry for me, Argentina" whenever the name of this country is mentioned. I love the song! And your country has many well-known soccer players but I know only one: Maradona.

Britain & Argentina were at war over the Falkland Islands, I have to stand up for our troops, but to be honest whats the point in Britain owning the islands, they are almost the other side of the world.

Argentina looks like a great country otherwise

In Bolivia, everybody eats empanadas in the mid-afternoon, and calls them "Salteñas". How did this happen? Maybe Argentinians make the best empanadas?
On another food topic, Argentina has the best parilladas, and the most meat cooked there, in the known universe!
