Well personally, I am a strong advocator for asking others question to which I may already have the answer.

Why not? Who is to say that all questions have only one right answer? Who is to say that personal history, personal experiences and our own individualities does not affect our thinking? Unless, for example, you are dealing with, what I call, a “absolute question,” (which is a question that always has one, always consistent answer) such as a math equation, then all other questions usually are an endless gateway to different ideas, perceptions, interpretations, and conclusions. By asking a question to which you already may have your preconceived notion or opinion on, you might find another’s response more persuasive, more in depth, more simpler than your own – and s/he might ultimately change your mind or inspire a whole new way to view your question.

Therefore, again, if you read my profile introduction, you will see that I love questions that open up the mind. And like I said before, unless you are dealing with one of those types of “absolute questions” – which are mostly limited to mathematics – then you can have hundreds of different answers to a single question.
