You mean like when you leave your umbrella at the office, or a condom breaks in your hand.

No, there are not.
The first type you are just more likely to remember, the second type (which many call an omen) is commonsense based on experience.
You won't remember every time you used an umbrella, just the once you left it in the office and got wet.
If a condom breaks in your hand, the same type is more likely to break during use.

Definitely, the question is how to read them...There are people who have the gift but most people have lost it.
In ancient civilisations for example in the Ancient Greek, important decisions were not taken if there were negative omens.

I do not believe in anything that does not have supported evidence, but right before my son died a friend gave me a plant with flowers in it. She said the flowers are for you because you just had a baby and the plant is to grow with Zachery. I was really good with plants, but one day I looked at the plant and it was dead and it gave me a really creepy feeling for about a half a second before I dismissed it out of my mind. Also I never slept, but woke at the sound of him moving or sighing. He was perfectly healthy. Everyone told me to put him in another room at night. The first night we put him in the next room and I went to shut the door and my husband said "do not shut the door, what if he cries and we can't hear him and he dies?" I said, as I was putting my knee down onto the bed to go to sleep. "That does not happen when they cry, that happens in their sleep and you never know it" The next morning he was gone. It was 19 years ago, but I will never forget looking at that plant and saying those words, and I will never stop wondering if I should have kept him with me instead of listening to everyone else.

Sure there are, but most of us are not sensitive enough to notice. Animals sense things and are prepared for them. Like they can sense an earthquake. In the recent tsunami except for cattle most free/wild animals moved to higher ground well in advance of the tsunami
