i have a qh gelding who is allegeric to bee strings, 1st time he got strung he just swelled up, the 2nd time he got sturng, he went in to shock, he couldn`t eat, drink and was shaking, he also had a lock jaw.

i had three vets down trying to help him.

hes ok now but the vet said he has allegies to bee strings but won`t give him anything for him un less i run test on him.

he is now 18 yrs old and has heaves and is blind in one eye, he is basiclly a pet i still ride him and use him in light lessons, but as testing goes i don`t think that would be fair for him.

any suggestions.

its understandable that u love ur horse. but the vet does know best. and if they do the test then ur horse wont have to go through the pain how ever many more times he will get stung. and the next time he gets stung its possible he could die from it. it would be best to listen to the vet.

I know that you think that running tests is hard on him, but it is better than him having to go through the pain of a bee sting reaction again. I would let the Vet run test on him. He has seen your horse and knows what is best for him. He is only looking out for the best interest of your horse.

If the Vet knows he is allergic to Bee stings I don't know why he has to do test, but that shouldn't hurt the horse as bad as what is already happening to him,I wouldn't think test would cause much pain if any.I would get him tested so they can come up with the right medication.
Good Luck.

So I do cheerleading and and that i need to do tumbling classes. I went domicile to artwork on my the front walkover contained in the outdoor. i became operating for about 5 minutes and that i felt the worst bee sting ever, and that i are starting to be a lot of bee stings. I stepped on a tiny little hornet. Now that's the subsequent day and that's killing me. The stinger stayed in for a sturdy 2 minutes witch islinger then you certainly imagine. It harm so undesirable!
