Rather than blocking her email address (which would block everything from her, even the non-chain stuff). You can set up a filter to filter anything from her that has fwd: in the subject box. That way only the stuff that she forwards will go to the junk or trash.
My mom is that way and I just couldn't get her to stop doing it. I didn't want to block her completely incase she really needed something. I found this to be the best solution for me.
Good Luck.

Just ignore all chain emails. Forget them and delete them permanently from your mailbox because they're a waste of time and mailbox space, really.
Most of these chain emails can be identified by their subject headings. So, don't bother opening them and immediately delete them off from your inbox. That's what I always do. =) Because if you do open them, you'll end up so frustrated and angry.
If you're really mad and you can't take such chain emails anymore, block the sender from your inbox and and report it as spam. Work hard on email filters if possible. Saves you the hussle of having to view such emails in your inbox when all you wanna do is just check the necessary emails. You also don't have to go on telling the sender off not to send such chain emails to you (especially if the sender is your friend). The worst-case is, start a new email account.
Btw, chain emails are not for real, so don't, in any way, give in to believing all their threats or promises. Trust me on this, because I'm an IT graduate and I studied this in the IT Ethics subject in the university. The original sender simply wants their email to be widely circulated as much as possible, so that their email become as world-wide famous as possible. I personally won't bother so much about such chain emails that are a waste of my time.

I would just set up a mail filter to send anything she sends to you straight to trash. When she asks about an e-mail she sent you reply that you did not get it as all her mail goes straight to trash due to all the chain mail she sends out. She will maybe get the hint then. If you need help setting up the filter feel free to e-mail me.
I have had the same problems with some of my friends. When asked why I don't reply I state that I don't ever respond to chain e-mails. eventually they have stopped.

lol. Vic, chain letters have no purpose. Chain letters take up space. Just tell her "Hey, can you please stop sending me those chain letters. They really block up my e-mail box. So if you could please stop that would be so helpful. Thanks!" Something like that.
Or if you don't or can't do that. Just delete them. I get chain letters all the time. I just delete them and don't even think twice about it.
