I am installing a pull string light. I want to get electricity from a nearby switch. I need a website that explains how to do this. One with pictures is best.

You're a dummy alright, better be a 'smart & alive' dummy than a stupid & dead dummy, that electricity we're talking about here, i doubt you know the consequences if you were holding onto a live wire, even if you plans to commit suicide you shouldn't try it, pay a qualiffied electrician, and live to enjoy pulling the string

Try starting with the site below -- the first link is the light, the second is a menu of other electrical work. If you google or yahoo "electrical wiring do it yourself" you will get a list of other sites you can visit that you might find are better or worse -- this listing is not an endorsement of this site!! Good luck and please remember the #1 RULE -- TURN OFF THE ELECTRICITY FIRST!! Thanks and stay safe.

Its probably not going to help you. If you don't have the basic skills to install a pull chain fixture, a web-site isn't going to help you. Call an electrician.

get an elecctrician to install any new lines or extensions or lights. homeowners should only change existing fixtures. even outlets can be tricky. there are three way switches, double feed outlets ground fault outlets. there are three kinds of dimmers. fan dimmers, incandesent dimmers, floresant dimmers.
