Boston has a chance. They are only 1.5 game behind the Twins right now for the wildcard. There is still 7 weeks left to go in the season. Having said that, it is going to be difficult because the White Sox and Twins have been heating up. The Sox on the other hand is stumbling. If they keep getting rolled by the Royals of all teams, there will be no baseball in Beantown in October.

Sorry....Just my objectional view.

I think that Boston will win the East.

I dont know why yankees fans are getting so nasty over a lousy (yes I said lousy) 3 game lead.

A 3 game lead in mid August is nothing. They acting like they just won the world series.

you yankee fans need to realize that you have to play 162 games, just like every other team in MLB.

You aint special, just cuz you 12 billion dollars a year on washed old used players that even The Detroit Tigers dont want.

My god, The Tigers have a 8 game lead over The Twins, and I am not jumping and down for joy. I know there are still 2 months left in the season and anything can happen.

I'll reserve my "yelling and screaming" for when it is offical.

For the love of Pete, you yankee fans really need some help.

God I hope Georgie is right. I'm just not sure about the Sox they way they dropped the last 4 games to Tampa Bay AND Kansas City. That 5 games at Fenway next weekend is gonna be the tell tale sign as to who will win this division.

Boston has a chance. But I think it's going to be difficult since they're without Varitek. They're a game and a half game behind Minnesota and a game behind Chicago. With 50 games left to play, anything can happen. At the end of the season, the Yankees will be waiting at the top of the AL East.

I'm a little late to be answering this, but I still love my red sox and believe we will be in the playoffs with yankees. What happened to Papelbon last night?? It wasn't like he was in the game!

i think so, the twins don't have a chance w/o Liriano, and the White Sox are bound to start playing bad. if Papelbon would quit blowing saves against the worst teams in the AL... maybe

They might have a chance at winning the wild card race, but they are 1.5 games behind. And lately they havent been doing so well. They also still have around 50 games left in the regular season, so its still fair game.
