My doctor said it would but I dont notice any difference... should I try something over the counter instead?

No. Risperdal is an antipsychotic drug used to treat schizophrenia and mania for bipolar disorder. Drowsiness is a possible side effect of the drug but it is not a sleep aid or sedative. Unless you have shizophrenia or bipolar disorder, I would get a new doctor. Since any over the counter medication that you take may interact with Risperdal, I would talk to a doctor before taking anything else.

ask your pharmacist and discuss this with your doctor, if it is not working their are alot of othrs your doctor can chose from, or get a second opinion coral
