I see a lot of questions about Darth Vader and the "Chosen One"

well here's what George Lucas said sometime around Ep 1

If you watch Return of the Jedi it actually pans it out.

Anakin became Darth Vader but was not 100% evil. He had a heart. When Luke confronted him, Vader had love for his kid. He was controlled by the emporer.

When Luke defeated him in ROTJ, he decided the best way to redeem himself, was to put his own life at stake to destroy the emporer.

This was the way Vader finally fullfilled the proffecy. He brough balance to the force by sacrificing himself to destroy the sith.

you must not know jack about star wars

in Ep 3 even Obiwan said "You were meant to destroy the sith not join them"

and besides, he intended to destroy all the good jedi Or they would have not ordered them all destroyed.

It wasnt till Ep 6 when he kills the emporer at the cost of his own life that he finally did fullfill the prophecy.

ok if you can add on or answer again,... How did Lucas mess up Ep 1-3? it all leads up to Anakin becomeing Darth Vader (we knew that would happen in 1982)

might have had some weird twists to it.. but its the same story line.

He brought balance by making sure there were an equal number of good jedi and bad jedi. At the end of ep 3 and beginning of ep 4 there are 4 (known) jedi - Obi Wan, Yoda, Palpatine, Vader (thanks to Vader's actons). That fufilled the prophesy. Balance doesn't mean no more evil, which is what the Jedi Council thought, it means as much good as evil, with neither dominant.

I agree with your original statements that he brough balance to the Force by defeating the Emperor. I don't think balance was meant to mean two on each side...I think it meant to say that there wasn't turmoil in the force.

I must also say that I don't really believe Lucas screwed anything up with eps 1-3. For starters, the story told of the fall of Anakin. That was the necessary backstory that was required to be told. The battle of obi wan and anakin had been known since the old movies came out and the idea of anakin falling into lava had been known as well since I was a little kid in the 80s. The biggest complaints I usually hear about the prequels involve the first one being childish, and then the use of computers.

Read the original shooting script for the original (Episode IV, A New Hope) and you will see the same kind of humor in it that was in Episode I....also watch the Ewoks in Episode VI. Lucas said Episode I would be very lighthearted.

The computer stuff was required to make the effects work and to look good. They are/were cutting edge technology whent he films came out. Guess what!? THe effects in the original trilogy were cutting edge as well! Lucas and his effects crew basically created all the effects that are used today. Back when the original came out, the studios had done away with special effects crews entirely! Lucas found some young guys and they experimented with things (and used a computer believe it or not) to make things work.

Lucas didn'd screw up with the new trilogy(maybe a little in ep 1 when Anakin runs arownd a battle feald)I fid the new movies more mature and extreamly spectacular. They truly follow the traditon set by the other movies by beeing growndbraking, funny and interesting. The path of Vader is a complex one but the original proffecy never mentioned how the chosen one would bring that balance, the jedi just asumed it ment the destruction of the sith. Ankin was a jedi for the first part of his lifeand he helped fight agaist the darkness, and the other part of his life was was spent as a sith enforcing the emperor's dark will. In this way he brought balance by searvig both sides , by being both dark and light. When Vader was a jedi he had darkness within him, and when he was a sith he had good within him...

There can be no balance without evil being somewhere in the force. Balance implies equal parts from each side. IF Vader was the last of the Dark Side, there is no balance...The "light" side rules all.

Either way, imo, Lucas totally screwed up the story when he made ep. 1, 2, & 3. The story was perfect and he did so much in these three that he discredits what he already created as the end of the story.

I agree completely with you Vader was the choosen one. He did not bring balance to the force the way everyone expected, but HE DID bring balance to the force. I have also seen interviews with lucas were he said that as well
May the force be with you.

Lucas made Ep. I-III to show what kind of person Darth Vader was, until then, no one knew vary much about him they thought that he was this treble man that was a monster, but in I-III we see that he was this normal person that was twisted by someone else (Sidious)

Anakin Brought balance to the force by defeating the emporer, although he went about it in a funny way. Qui Gon didn't say how he would do it, just that he would.
