The internet is a tool for meeting people. It is what you do after that, that matters. Can you find great people on the net? sure you can but because of the sheer volume you are going to also meet not so great ones.

Well, I thought I had. She was a very comforting source during a terribly trying period of my life. We finally met and I guess there really were'nt alot of fireworks for me at the start but things continued to progress to the point of her moving to my state and living here for 2 years or so. Eventually, the new exictement of it all began to subside for me and I felt worse about getting involved that far and then backing away. She seemed to have this overwhelming love for me that I just couldn't match. Never could with my ex-wife either, who by the way, is still a good freind and in contact with me often through our two sons and through my ex-house which I let her continue to live in.
So, needless to say, there was a great deal of animostity involved there.

Yes- my husband and I met through the Internet. We just used it as a tool for meeting. We both like the face to face interaction and took it from there once we met. We have been together three years and just got married in June.

I'm living proof that you can. I met my husband on AIM about five years ago. I moved in with him about 2 months after meeting him. I knew it was love right away. We have been married for over 2 years now and loving every minute of it.
Background info: I am 23 and my husband turned 24 yesterday.
But becareful their are a lot of weirdos out there.
