Does he call and come over when he says he will, does he flirt or ask you for money. Do you support him financially? Does he treat you like a queen? If you are worried about this follow him sometime and see what he does when he is not with you.

Does he call when he says he'll call? Does he stand you up? Does he blame you for things that aren't your fault (arguments, being late, etc?) Does he blow you off for his friends on the weekends? Any weird phone calls/messages on his cell phone?
Those are some good signs he's a player.

Call whenever you like.
Come over whenever. Say: "You're in the nieghborhood and want to come by".
Go out together in public places.

Get together with a good friend and have her hit on him when you're not around and see if he stays loyal.
