I don't thing being cultured is based upon one specific music you listen to, a food you eat, or a book you read.

I think a person who is cultured exposes themselves to many types of music, writing ( All styles ), cuisines of the world.

The cultured individual is one who opens their mind to the world around them.

The cultured person is social, but not a status seeker.

The cultured individual takes works to make their community better through their favorite charity.

The cultured person is kind, funny & has the ability to be comfortable in their own skin regardless of the social or work situation.

That is what culture is to me... from my perspective.

His/Her culture... kidding. Sorry for the poor joke.

These are very subjective things to a particular locality, like if in my side of the world, something is considered good probably which is not considered good in other side it makes me good at one place and bad at other.

Like "Banana ..." (I even do not know that in detail) is considered disgraceful in some part but it does not make any difference until we at the other side the subtle meaning hidden in that phrase.

Similarly showing middle finger to someone is again considered disgraceful and uncultured but if at your side it does not carry any meaning its a useless symbol. So a person cultured or (not unclutured) is a culture specific remark.

I believe any kind of knowledge of the arts, history, literature etc. makes a person cultured - someone who is not afraid to learn and shares that knowledge with others.
