There are those whose only understanding of islamic extremism and terrorism is:

"they hate us"

"they want us to convert to islam"

"they hate our freedom"

why is this so? why do people oversimplify and do not look into history to understand the real reason why the west is being targetted?

because they support israel. they dont care about our freedom. they dont care who we have sex with. thats what the arrogant americans think. americans tend to think of their society as a prize everyone in the world wants to win.
Not so. not everyone wants what we have.
Thats the main reason they hateus
is because we support israel

One of the main reasons its oversimplified is because this countries government has something to hide.

Notice the word "they" keeps repeating. Well, who is they? And if you say terrorists, who is that? According to this countries general policy everyone is a suspect. So does that make us all terrorists?

Speaking of history.....Hitler bombed one of his state buildings to implement something called Reich Security (notice the striking similarity to Homeland Security). He blamed the Russians for that. And as you can see in your history book he invaded that country.

Bottom line is that there are extremists in EVERY religion. Christians run around blowing up abortion clinics and killing doctors, Muslims run around blowing up what they can and Jews invade countries and keep social blockades on their neighboors.

I feel that America wont stop until we convert everyone to Christianity. At least that seems to be the current trend.

I am also curious about why dictators come up with catchy names for their respective countries. i.e. Motherland, Fatherland and now Homeland. Interesting to think about I'd say. Oh I forgot, I am not allowed to talk about that because if I do I am running the risk of being Un-American, an idiot or a moron.

If "they" are infact truly the ones targeting us, its probably because they hate the fact that we impose our will whenever and whereever we choose.

The word "terrorist" has been so watered down that it has lost its true meaning. Everything in America involves the "terrorists." When most people cannot even give a clean cut definition of the word.

These are buzzwords that people can throw out to make them think they look smart and well informed when in reality they have no clue about what they are saying. George Bush threw out a buzzword catch phrase about three weeks ago and kept repeating it so often he begain to look like a total idiot. You could tell he had no clue, first of all because of the shallowness of this phrase, and secondly because it was patently false, but he kept using it because he thought it would score points with jewish voters and suited his agenda even if he didn't know what it was all about at all. That catch phrase was "Hezbollah is the root cause..."

You can see he has no knowedge of any root cause of anything because if he did he would not have said this unless his jewish handlers were poking him with a cattle prod.

It wouldn't make any difference, it doesn't matter if you give into their demands. They get new demands immediately! The Arabs have been fighting someone over something for 5000 years. It should be clear by now the Arabs will never stop fighting, they know no other way!
