i went to the doc yesterday and she told me that it was still too early to detect hcg in my urine for pregnancy. i got my period on 6/30 but for only one day. for july i got no period so i thought that i was pregnant but my doc said that i have to wait another month! and she said nothing about running a blood test cause its too early.
but if no period comes during the month i have to go on 9/1 and take another urine test. she said if it comes out - to start taking provera. im confused cause i have all the symptoms and no period. do u think i can still be pregnant? has this evr happenend to any of u ?

she did do a urine test and it also came out negative thats why she said that i had to wait to see if my period comes this month. but my question is that if i am pregnant shouldnt the hormone be in my urine already??

You could simply ask your regular primary doctor for a blood test, you could go directly to a lab and have a test, and you could also take an early detection pregnancy test at home.

Simple rule about doctors, They work for you! not the other way around. If the lmp you had was end of June and only 1 day and we're halfway through August already, with no mp, demand a pregnancy test, pick up an over the counter test (read results no later than 5 minutes after the test please), go to a place like Planned Parenthood or BirthRight where they will run a test for you or find another doctor.
Sure wouldn't be the kind of doctor I'd want to be stuck with for a pregnancy. Sounds like she needs an attitude adjustment.

I would demand a blood test or find a new doctor. You shouldn't have to wait until Sept 1 since your last period was in June. You may be pregnant or your cycle may just have gotten a little screwed up. Anytime I went to my doctor's and I wasn't pregnant they would ask me if I thought I could be and if I wasn't sure, they would run a urine test on me to be sure.

i don't know why your doc wouldn't do a blood test. they can detect pregnacy as soon as your period is missed. i found out i was pregnant 1 week after i missed my period ( i was 6 weeks along) i would buy a home pregnancy test and take it. there are very rarely false positives, so if it comes up positive, i would say that you are indeed pregnant.

Take a home test. If it comes back positive.. you're pregnant. If it doesn't go back to the doctor.

try using clear blue easy, it's said to be able to confirm a pregnancy even if's it's 3 days before your due period.. Since your overdue, I'm assuming it would work.
