In 1975 I was 24 and had 5 children and very beautiful I had to work and so I applied for a job at a Sacramento hospital as a nurse. Later that evening a man called me and said his friend at the hospital said he saw me and would like to know if I wanted a job that would pay me $500 a session I asked doing what and he told me acting in a porno film. Was I offended (HELL YES) and proceeded to tell him in a very unlady like way where to get off at if you understand my meaning. I needed to work but i still had my pride and would have begged on the street first. Some may feel any money is better than none but for me it shamed me that he would even consider asking me. Thank You grandma Rosey

Personally, I probably would be offended, but I wouldn't think you should have slapped him. Apparently he was being sincere, and thank goodness he didn't pressure you, although it wasn't very professional to approach you out of the blue on the street.
I think the main point is simply that this means that someone thinks that you are physically attractive, in the body and the face. While it obviously bothered you, try to think of it in this positive light. Then it won't have to be such a negative memory.

I suggest you contact the police and check if he is not wanted for something. In principle it is most likely he did not commit any crime (unless you are a minor). It could be classified as "soliciting" (maybe). "Offers" likes this can get you involved in serious problems from drugs to prostitution. But it is good that yo did not slap him. You could be prosecuted for assault.

I'm glad you didn't slap me. (joking) Just take it as a very poorly executed complement. And even if you want to do soft porn, don't ever accept an invite right off the streets.

you did the right thing, if he was a genuine bone fide business he would never solicit a person in the street
