I just put stamps on three envelopes and used 27 stamps with eleven different stamp designs! I'm a stamp collector, and I buy older stamps below face value at stamp shows and use them up on my bills. So on the three envelopes I used three 13-cent airmails with a winged letter, a six-cent General MacArthur, a 5-cent flag, one four-cent Shiloh and four 4-cent Mannerheim "Champion of Liberty" stamps, four 3-cent Gardening and Horticulture stamps, four 3-cent Great Lakes Transportation, four 3-cent "Honoring those who have served," two 3-cent Coast and Geodetic Survey, one 3-cent Minnesota Territorial, and two 1-cent Andrew Jackson. I hope some of them reach stamp collectors at the other end! Most of them are more than 40 years old, and the "honoring those who have served" issue is 60 years old, but they are still good for postage, and they are still available at stamp shows for less than face value.

When I buy current stamps, I buy the most interesting ones I can get - flag stamps are boring! It doesn't cost a bit more to buy attractive and unusual stamps.

Santa Claus from some other country! LOL
I found some Christmas stamps leftover from last year and am using them along with the "extra" stamp to cover the increase in postage.

Maybe it will bring a smile to the receiver's face IF they notice it!
