When I change my desktop to a picture other than the 'None' background I have blue boxes around all the text under my icons. How can I solve this?

try to water your cpu, maybe grass will grow.

Change your colors on your desktop. Do this under Appearance and Themes. Otherwise this is not a problem. These blue boxes should only show up when you click on the icon.

you have to right click the desktop and open the Display properties. then goto the Desktop tab and in there u will see a color button. select the required color and click ok.

Go to Control Panel and change the visual on the monitor screen saver.

Change the color settings to true color 32 or 64 bit in display settings
