how do I know if I have built in Microphone in my computer and how can I activate and use it.?

I have a Toshiba satellite M45 series Lap to. am using windows XP, centrino mobile technology.

Run the sound recorder program
Start > All Programs > Accessories > Entertainment > Sound Recorder
Click the red button to start recording
Talk
If you have a microphone, you will see the recorder recording your voice
