This question depends on several factors, the # of people on the plane (we'll say an average of 250) and where they were planning to blow it up.
Imagine this, plane in mid air over a major city, explodes crashing onto the streets below, not only would there be casualties from the plane, but from the impact below. Not to mention what they were planning on blowing up also, imagine agian that not only did they blow up the plane, but they had other containers filled with chemicals or biologics that would kill people through airborn contamination.

the total number could have been potentially greater than any we've ever seen. Thanks authorities in G.B.

Well 300 or more people would be on a plane so times that by 10..........quite a lot of people
