Well, no! You see, through the years I kind of stopped being amazed or thrilled or even shocked by what people exactly do or are able to do. If you still are, it's linked to your moral ideas; it means that you should get rid of all these things mummy used to tell you 'bout the world. The fact is that you just seem to have a big gap on what you think 'bout the world and what you receive as information; amazement is no more than the wake-up call of your perceptions. Be aware that man is the most succesful species on earth. This should mean enough to you. For better and for worse.

I suppose this depends on how entrenched you are within your comfort zone. if you are no longer questioning people and events around you - expecting things to continue always as normal - then you would be heading for a smack in the face from something unexpected.
Isn't there a saying "always expect the unexpected?"

On the flip side, people can do unexpected things which leave you happy to be alive.
I once filled my car with fuel, not realising I'd left my card wallet on the kitchen table. I went to the cashier, explained what had happened, and went to my car to call my husband to ask him to fetch my card wallet. When I went back to the cashier to tell her he was on his way, she said it was OK, the man who was in the queue behind me the first time had just paid my bill.
I didn't know him, he didn't know me. The bill was about £17. It was a completely random act of kindness which still makes me smile when I think about it.
We live in a shitty world, but it ain't all bad.

Yes. I work in a warehouse and watch the news. Everyday there is something new that happens.
