I am quite puzzled as to why you are asking for help. No sane principal will allow the students to leave the school compound during recess time. If they want to go to the shops, by all means do so, but, only after dismissal time. I am curious as to which school actually allows such freedom. It is definitely against school
regulation. The ministry of education should look into this matter.

I believe it depends on school rules. Some school don't encourage student to go out for recess break. the main reason is that some student may get into trouble with gangster or meet with accident during the recess break which the most school principal is unwilling to bear the responsibilty.

They really shouldn't. Given that the school is responsible for the safety of the students during school hours (who knows what might happen the moment they step outside school premises), canteen food having to compile to stricter health and hygiene codes and the short duration allocated for recess (if they left, how much time would remain for them to actually eat?), there is really no way to justify students leaving school premises to eat during recess.

This sort of question should not ask in this "Yahoo" web site. You got the wrong channel, you should ask the principal of the school because he/she draw thousands of dollars in salary per month. Should your principal cannot give you a good answer, put this in the press and let the Education Ministry to remove the principal, let others have this chance of promotion.

students need to experience things on their own in order to learn real life lessons. a school will only restrict a person's potential to learn outside of the classroom by sheltering him or her from possible troubles outside of a closed campus.

I think this should be banned.Once they enter the school premises, they should be sent out after the school gets over.I mean to say,There Recreation,Snacks,Exercises & etc should be insidethe school. And also i have seen many schools having this, there are some 3rd Grade schools who don't have it.
